How To Choose Materials For Food Packaging Bags‼ ️

The main function of packaging

The first is to protect the product; the second is to beautify and promote the product. The fundamental task of packaging design is to scientifically and economically design the shape, structure, and decoration of the product packaging. It applies aesthetic principles to visually express the packaging container’s functional and aesthetically pleasing appearance through variations in form and color. The packaging container must reliably protect the product, have an excellent appearance, and be reasonably economical.

Cold-resistant and low-temperature heat-sealing with strong tensile strength

If you need food bags that are moisture-resistant, cold-resistant, and have strong low-temperature heat-seal strength, consider a BOPP/LLDPE two-layer composite.
This composite is commonly used for instant noodles, snacks, frozen desserts, powdered foods, and other foods.

Oil resistance, high transparency and good stiffness

If you need food bags that are moisture-proof, oil-resistant, highly transparent, and stiff, you can choose a BOPP/CPP two-layer composite material.
This composite material is generally suitable for biscuits, candies, and various other light foods.

Oil resistant, oxygen barrier, light blocking, good stiffness

If you need food bags that are moisture-proof, oil-resistant, oxygen-resistant, light-blocking, and have good stiffness, consider a BOPP/VMCPP two-layer composite.
This composite is commonly used for fried foods like potato chips and various dry foods.

Moisture-proof and oxygen-proof/light-blocking

If you need food bags that are moisture-proof, oxygen-proof, and light-blocking, consider a BOPP/VMPET/LLDPE three-layer composite.
This composite is commonly used for foods like rice snacks and tea.

Moisture-proof and aroma-retaining/high temperature resistant

If you need food bags that are moisture-proof, last overnight, retain aroma, and withstand high temperatures, consider a PET/CPP two-layer composite.
This composite is commonly used for alcoholic beverages, flavored foods, and foods that require steaming, such as frozen buns.

Moisture-proof and high temperature resistant/easy to seal

If you need food bags that are moisture-proof, heat-resistant, and easy to seal, you can choose a PET/PET/CPP three-layer composite material.
This composite material is commonly used for foods like soy sauce and vinegar.

Common sense: Aluminum foil bags

Suitable for packaging moisture-sensitive products that require high dryness, such as powdered foods or medicines, tea, and food additives.
Aluminum foil bags are also suitable for foods that require vacuum packaging, such as prepared foods and meats.

Common sense: packaging bag material application

Generally speaking, food packaging bags are made of PE or PP as the inner layer, PA as the outer layer, and EVOH, PVDC, or aluminized film as the center layer, depending on the product’s characteristics.

PVDC and EVOH offer excellent barrier properties and can effectively prevent oxidation when placed in the center of a food bag. Aluminized film, on the other hand, offers excellent light-blocking properties and is suitable for applications that require minimal exposure to light.

PA offers excellent printability and is therefore used as the outer layer.

What information needs to be marked?

Basic food information: name, nutritional information, ingredients, net weight, specifications, production date, shelf life, storage methods, etc.

It is important to note that the packaging should also indicate the true nature of the food. For example, walnut milk is neither walnut nor milk, but a “complex protein drink”, so this should be reflected on the packaging. The ingredients in the ingredient list should be arranged in descending order of usage.

If the food contains ingredients that have been ionized, it must be labeled “irradiated food”. If it contains genetically modified ingredients, it must be labeled “genetically modified food”.
